Check out our sample itinerary below - based on 9 days, the minimum amount of time to get round. You have the option to extend the number of nights you spend in the islands for as long as you like (in multiples of 3) within the season's departure dates and can change your dates up to 10 days before you travel.
H: Included Highlights
F: Free Time Option
Day 1: Phuket
Get over it. The word ‘Phuket’ is funny. Meet your guide and fellow travel mates at the hostel reception at 5pm for a welcome meeting, followed by dinner at one of our favorite local restaurants. We will then paint the town red at the bustling Bangla Road.
H: Explore the luscious beaches of Thailand's largest island
F: Catch a few waves at the Surf House, Kata Beach
Day 2: Phuket
A day to enjoy some exploration. A great option is to visit the beautiful ‘Phang Nga Bay’ where you can kayak through hidden caves and lagoons.
H: Nightlife of the infamous Bangla Road
F: Take to the seas on the Phang Nga Bay Day Trip
F: See the saucy action at the Ladyboy Cabaret Show
Day 3: Phuket to Koh Phi Phi
In the morning we leave Phuket. But don’t be sad, because every island is just as wonderful. It wouldn’t actually be unreasonable to claim that Koh Phi Phi is slightly better looking. With its long, blonde, slender, curvaceous, bodacious, blue-eyed…sorry what were we talking about? Oh yeah, beaches! We arrive and check into our hotel in the morning. After this, meet up with your learned guide, who’ll tell you a bit about the island before you get the chance to beach-bum, Kayak, swim, sun bathe or snorkel. Late afternoon you can meet your guide for a hike up to the sunset point. After this stunning view we’ll head back to the town for dinner and drinks.
H: Hike to the scenic sunset view point
H: Dance on the sand of Phi Phi
H: Stare into the firetwirler's flames
F: Kayak from the beach to hidden bays
Day 4: Koh Phi Phi
The island is surrounded by many colourfully named islands and islets. Today is your chance to explore them. Go to Maya beach (where the movie ‘the beach’ was filmed), see the monkeys on the imaginatively named Monkey Island, or go to the rather poorly named Mosquito Isle (seriously, do they even understand the concept of selling-yourself!). After becoming a little bit too accustomed to such unsurpassable beauty, come back to town for some drinks at one of our favourite bars.
F: Visit the famous Maya 'The Beach' Beach
F: See monkeys at the imaginatively named Monkey Beach
F: Go snorkeling or scuba diving
Day 5: Koh Phi Phi to Koh Lanta
Now for something a little different. A little off the well-trodden path. In the morning we arrive at Koh Lanta. The beaches are slightly less populated and cater to a wide variety of different travellers (read as: ’hippy-haven’). There’s plenty of space for beach frolicking here, so hopefully you’re not completely sun-burnt yet. If you’re feeling a bit adventurous go on a jungle trek to the waterfalls.
F: Learn to cook Thai food at an evening cooking class
F: Help our furry friends at Lanta Animal Welfare
Day 6: Koh Lanta
A day to explore the island. One of the best activities is the Four Islands Tour. This trip crams in all the essential Thai island experiences (except the buckets of cocktails!). There’s the Emerald Cave’s hidden beach at Ko Mook, snorkelling that gives you the chance to see sharks and tropical fishes, and the beautiful limestone karst of Ko Maa. Or you can just sunbathe on the beach all day. It's your choice.
H: Sunbathe on the longest and most beautiful beaches
F: Get the true Thai island experience on the Four Islands Day Trip
F: Gaze in awe at the beautiful Emerald Cave
Day 7: Koh Lanta to Krabi (Ao Nang)
Today we head to our final destination. We leave around lunch time, so if you get-up early you’ll still have a bit of time to enjoy this blissful little island. On arrival in Ao Nang you’ll be confronted by the sheer quantity of activities to do here. The evenings in Ao Nang are lively. One of the options is to see some Thai kick boxing (not for the faint-hearted).
F: Zen out at morning yoga class
F: Local Pub Crawl
F: Haggle for Thai treats at the night markets
F: Watch Muay Thai Boxing
Day 8: Krabi
It’s your last day. We don’t know what you’re doing the day after but why not treat today like it’s your last day in glorious Thailand anyway! Run around, buy your ‘same-same but different’ t-shirt, go back see the famous Railay Beach and take postcard pretty pictures, send a postcard, basically have a lot of fun. Tonight we go to an amazing local restaurant and party on at one of our favourite Thai bars.
F: Boat to the beautiful famous Railay beach and Phra Nang beach
F: Snorkel with the luminescent fishes
Day 9: Krabi to Phuket
No more tour sadly. Meet your Tour Leader for your prearranged transfer to Phuket Pier with an included transfer to either Kata Beach or Phuket airport. If you wish to stay longer in Phuket book your accomodation on My Trip.
